DIY Van Build - Bulkhead Sliding Door | How to Build a Sliding Pocket Door | Partition Wall

Welcome back to our Ford Transit van build series! (Episode 12) in this episode we show you how we transformed our bulkhead into a BEAUTIFUL sliding pocket door! After starting the process months ago we put the bulkhead on hold and decided to install our wooden panel ceiling first and then come back to the pocket door transformation. This part of the van build was quite challenging and took a lot of time going back and forth trying to make our vision come to life and work smoothly. We're super happy with the results and still have a few finishing touches to add like the finger pull, door latch, cupboard doors and shelf but the majority is completed! FOLLOW US ON SOCIALS Our Instagram:   / domandjesso   About us: After meeting in Port Macquarie Australia during 2020, Dom and Jesso bought a van together on a spontaneous weekend in Byron Bay to travel to the opposite side of the country (Western Australia) to chase surf spots and a new life together in a state they had always wanted to visit, they intended for a quick 3 month road trip and to settle in Perth, this quickly turned into a 3 year trip (with no settling down) and completing lap of the whole of Australia. In early 2024, Dom and Jesso decided they wanted to continue living the Vanlife in Australia a little more comfortably so upgraded to a Ford Transit high roof LWB van and spent 6 months decking it out from scratch, (with absolutely no experience) turning it into a beautifully aesthetic motorhome, Ferne 🌿🚐 They are now currently on their second lap of Australia travelling full time exploring remote locations and capturing beautiful imagery and videography from their life on the road and documenting this on Instagram and YouTube.
