we took the long way home.

don't usually make this kind of music, but i got a taste of it when i did my pokemon remix. idek if i'm labeling it right, but either way, i had fun making this chill, dark, atmospheric sounding beat. all the vids used i found on the site "Pexels", which i've used photos from there for past vids. i picked a bunch of footage that gave off the vibe of what it was like in my teens and early twenties cuz for some reason, that's the vibe i got from listening back to my song. recollecting my memories, i was rarely ever home for long spans of time. if i wasn't with one group of friends, i was with another. if i wasn't out with my close friends, it was with another. if i wasn't hanging out with friends at all, i was playing music in bands whether it was practicing, recording, or performing. if i wasn't with them, i was relaxing and more than likely waiting til someone eventually would text me to hang out. before it became such a hassle to drive down there, i can't tell you how much time i spent driving and walking around downtown with a handful of different friends. even if there was nothing to do or go to, we would end up down there to just walk. if we weren't downtown, we were just hanging out somewhere, playing games, eating out somewhere, taking pictures, going out of town to nearby friend's colleges, making bonfires during the winter, sneaking around places we shouldn't have like closed off areas or abandoned buildings, typical hijinx of people that age. i'm surprised i was only ever in 1 fender bender, and it really wasn't that bad. anyway, it was like that all the way til my mid 20s, before everyone (me included) started leaving for college, falling out of touch, hanging out less, being busy in general. i did spend time inside as well, but really reflecting on the past, i was out and about way more than i thought. aside from things like school and occasional relationship breakup, i enjoyed the time i spent. I enjoyed making this like I said, so I'm def considering making more of this style. I hope you enjoy it too, thanks for listening and have a good rest of your day
