Hi, welcome to Deaf Talks News. In overall India all the villages have 100 days work which project name was MGNREGA - Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. The goal is to develop and empower village areas. It was started in 2006 and now it is the 19th year. When it was started the government paid 80rupees per day and now it was upto 300 per day. Everything was going good until yesterday. A major debate took place in the Lok Sabha last night regarding the MGNREGA scheme. The BJP Government has introduced a new bill to change the name of the MGNREGA. According to the bill, the scheme will now be called “Viksit Bharat Rozgar aur Aajeevika Mission shortly known as VB G RAM G. The bill was introduced by Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. BJP MP Anurag Thakur said from now on work days have been increased from 100 days to 125 days in a year. Wages will now be credited to bank accounts within one week, instead of 15 days. However, the opposition parties strongly opposed the removal of Mahatma Gandhi’s name. They said removing Gandhi’s name is an insult to Mahatma Gandhi. The debate on this bill will continue today. There are many benefits in the new bill. People get more work days than before and get more money. But it should be used in good savings. Thank you for watching Deaf Talks News.
