My own GOG Affiliate link for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments (PC version) on GOG store: https://adtr.co/qFR501 Every purchase helps out the channel! Full game longplay of Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, an adventure mystery game released first in 2014, for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, and much later for Xbox One and PS4. This being the PC version, at highest possible graphical settings. It is the first game in the franchise to be running on Unreal Engine 3, although not a very "optimized" one. 1440p60 was impossible for Ryzen 7 and RTX 2060 (xD). Note: Differences in audio "style" due to my Dolby Atmos Software having an aneurysm sometimes. Recorded and played in 1080p60. Thanks for watching and do consider hitting that Like button, and subscribing to the channel for more future/past content on retro/adventure/classic content! The game takes place in London and its suburbs in 1894 and 1895 with gameplay focused on finding the right culprit and making the moral choice of absolving or condemning them. The game is the first in the series to use the Unreal Engine 3, and was inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories. The game is split into six cases of murders, disappearances and thefts written in the tradition of Doyle novels. Its title is a play on the title of the Russian novel Crime and Punishment by author Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Probably the best of Sherlock Holmes games so far, although die-hard fans of classic point'n'click games would probably strangle me for saying that. Estethically pleasing, badly optimized, morally gray sometimes, always on the hunt for pixels and all. Yup, that's the classic Sherlock Holmes right here. I do think I have to hide the fact t hat I've played the whole game beforehand, that's why I usually knew what to do, and which options to choose from. this playthrough consists of all the "RIGHT" choices, perhaps maybe except the ending, but that's up to the viewer/player to judge. By right, I mean correct, but there is always the option to condemn for their actions, or absolve them due to circumstances. And I LOVE that kind of morality thing, although it doesn't change much really, I think only the letters/newspapers you get at your chimney after beginning a new case. But, I have very much enjoyed this playthrough, of the best Sherlock Holmes to date (I said it!), and I'd rate it about 8.5/10, not higher, due to sometimes completely bullshit puzzles. But hey, I am absolutely tragic at puzzles in adventure games. If you watched any previous of my longplays from this genre, you'd know by now, hehe.
