FF Österåkers kajakledarpaddling 2025 (Nov 1-2) This video summarizes Österåker's local branch of Friluftsfrämjandet (Swedish Outdoor Association) kayak leader weekend paddle. This trip was only for our kayak leaders so we could enjoy a nice paddle and bond together. We started from Stavsnäs harbor and paddled to Bullerön (21 km) in the outermost part of Stockholm Archipelago where we stayed overnight in the very nice old buildings in Bullerö village. Bullerön and much of the water areas around are now part of the newly established Nämdöskärgårdens National Park. When we arrived to Bullerön it was 4pm and already getting dark so we got installed before visiting the nice wood heated sauna. A few times during our sauna session we climbed down the ladder into the Baltic Sea (approx 8-9°C) to cool off. We ended the day by enjoying a nice dinner together before hitting the sack. Next morning after breakfast we cleaned the cabins and packed our kayaks. We chose to paddle north on the outer east side of Bullerön where we encountered nice swells along the cliffs. After passing Bullerön we headed first west and then northwest to return to Stavsnäs, totally about 16 km. We purposely made the return trip shorter since I had overstressed my wrist the first day so I had to be towed all the way back to Stavsnäs.
