Dissertation discussion chapter - you MUST write about the literature!

In your dissertation discussion chapter, you have to write about the literature! One thing you must not do with your literature review is forget it when you start writing up your dissertation discussion chapter! In this video I share some of my top tips to ensure this doesn’t happen to you. The literature review is an important foundation of the discussion chapter. In the discussion chapter, you need to revisit what you learned from the literature review, and then reconsider that in light of what you discovered in your own study. Being really confident and familiar with your literature review is the secret to writing a fantastic discussion chapter. Don’t just go back to your literature review, flick through it and pick out a couple of references to sprinkle on top of the discussion! The first thing you need to do is to ensure that your literature review is in really good shape. If it isn’t, your discussion chapter will only reflect that! In the video, I will walk you through this structure, which consists of: • Recap • Chapter Map • Main Body • Future Research Once you know the structure of the discussion chapter, you need to write it, and ensure that you effectively integrate your literature review in so doing.
