These House Of The Dragon Scenes Were Awkward To Film...

House of the Dragon has taken a page out of Game of Thrones when it comes to the number of intimate scenes it included. Luckily, this time around they’ve brought on an intimacy coordinator to facilitate everything and make sure the young stars and older actors alike feel comfortable acting opposite each other. Of course, one can only ever reach a certain level of comfort when it comes to being exposed on film. The extras in the brothel scene didn’t seem to mind after twelve hours of the same positions, though. Emily Carey was glad to be clothed during that! Paddy Considine was too, we’re sure. The C-Section scene of the show did a number on the poor actors, specifically, Paddy Considine. It was just a long day of staying in an intense emotional state to get the shots. Emily was majorly intimidated by a woman she admires and respects, specifically the actor with whom she is playing the younger Alicent Hightower, Olivia Cooke. Milly Alcock and Emily Carey hated being cruel to each other while filming, especially given the number of young women wasn’t exactly screaming a feminine atmosphere. Matt Smith injured himself pretty brutally but luckily, he was able to make a keep observation about neck pain. Group scenes were a miserable endeavour because they took forever to capture all the footage they wanted to work with. And the only thing more miserable than the shots with a bunch of people were the shots that had nothing and no one in them at all. Imagination is a skill and tool that needs to be refined with practice. For young actors, this could prove a bit of a challenge.
