This LHD beauty is not just a target practice survivor; it’s arguably the lowest static Volkswagen in Australia. This Oval sat on a Texas farm full of Porsche 356's and was apparently used as target practice before being stuffed in a shipping container full of Porsche parts bound for Australia "as container filler". The new owner saw no value in the car either, and let it sit for ten years before Australian VW legend Mark Krapp rescued it. The car then passed to Damian Arber a few years later who built it into what you see today. The rear setup includes FK drop plates, giving Tex that ridiculously low stance. Could this be Australia's lowest static VW? Powered by a 36hp 1200cc engine featuring Okrasa dual carbs and a Wolfsburg West cam, this Beetle screams O.G. Hoodride vibes and it's great seeing the Aussie scene continue to thrive.
