Welcome to my channel! In this trip report I’m taking you on a flight from Bologna to Amsterdam on KLM Cityhopper’s flagship: the Embraer E195-E2. An aircraft that has been in the news quite some times in the past years due to its engine problems. Just before I took the flight I upgraded to Comfort Economy for only €5 euro’s. With a row all to my myself it was time to find out if this €5 euros was worth it or not. Economy Comfort on KLM offers a few differences: More legroom More recline Moveable headrest Boarding in zone 3 Hand luggage guaranteed in cabin The possibility to disembark earlier if only the front door is used There’s more flight reports coming, so subscribe not to miss these flight reports! —Please note that some parts of this video were recorded through other applications because of storage problems, which Is why at some parts quality can be bad— ———————————— More information: Airline: KLM Cityhopper Aircraft: Embraer E195-E2 Registration: PH-NXL Flight: Bologna Guiglielmo Marconi Airport - Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Date: August 07 2024 Seat number: 4F ———————————— Flight rating: Seat: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inflight Entertainment: ★ Food: ★ ★ ★ Crew: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amsterdam Airport: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bologna Airport: ★ ★ ★ Overall score: 3,6 ★ Seat: The Seat was good. It was thin but comfortable, the moveable headrest was a nice touch and the 2-2 configuration on the Embraer is always nice. The tray table was large and the separate device tray with cup holder were a nice addition. In flight entertainment: One star, because there wasn’t any IFE, which is of course normal for European short haul flights. The inflight magazine “Holland Herald” is a nice touch though. Food: KLM’s famous cheese sandwich comes in different variations. Today’s option was a cheese sandwich with chili sauce. It was good but I’ve seen better options. Especially the thick slices of bread make it quite dry. Crew: The crew was really nice and helpful Bologna Airport: Bologna has a nice airport and really does the job as a, mostly, leisure airport. However it can be really crammed at some points, especially after security where all passengers end up in a smaller airside part since it’s divided in a Schengen and non-Schengen area. You can see that at busier times it can get really crammed with passengers and it can get hard to find a place to sit. Also KLM’s zone boarding wasn’t really done, which doesn’t really matter to me but I know that there’s a lot of passengers who really value boarding with their assigned zone Amsterdam Airport: As always a nice airport, clear wayfinding and easy to arrive at I hope you like the video!
