GULF FOR JESUS

On the 12th of December, the Boroko Baptist Youths set out on a faith-filled journey aboard the MV IBK ship, traveling from Port Moresby to Ara'ava, a remote village on the eastern part of Gulf Province. The voyage took 24 hours, moving from the open sea into the winding rivers of the Gulf. The purpose of this journey was to participate in the 10th Gulf Youth for Christ program, a gathering centered on worship, unity, and spiritual growth. Upon arrival, it was a powerful and joyful sight to see children and youths from different parts of Gulf Province coming together in one accord to praise and worship the Lord. A warm welcome ceremony was held for the guests, including the special guest—the local Member of Parliament and his wife—who officially opened the convention. The people of Ara'ava showed great kindness and love, providing generous hospitality. The food was plentiful and enjoyable, and throughout the convention, the love of Christ was clearly displayed. God’s power was at work through worship, fellowship, and the sharing of His Word. The convention concluded on the 17th of December, leaving hearts encouraged and faith strengthened. On the 18th of December, the villagers gathered once more to bid farewell to the visiting team. With gratitude and lasting memories, the Boroko Baptist Youths began their 24-hour journey back to Port Moresby, thankful for the experience and the unity shared in Christ.
