An insight into the life of Mexico's COCAINE KING... and his GOLD PLATED CHAINSAW! The cocoa leaf was an agricuttural asset of Mexico. In 2001, George W Bush condemned the mass importation of cocaine into the US. Heriberto Lazcano had come from a poor family, at aged 17 he joined the army and rose through the ranks to the special forces. In 2008 he became the top commander of the Los Zetas, forming alliance with two smaller cartels. In 2010 The Los Zetas declared war against the Gulf Cartels killing 1000's of civillian Mexicans. They would enter the towns seeking out those leading the drug trades, human trafficking and other crime lords. The Los Zetas began as a group of 30, eventually rising to a gang of 10,000 gun men. Heriberto was known for his violent murder methods, being nick named 'El Verdugo' which translates to 'The executioner'. Heriberto tied his victims to trees to beat them, or boiled their bodies. Some were thrown to his lions and tigers that he kept as pets at his mansion. His favourite weapon for dispatching was his precious gold plated chainsaw, which he used to decapitate his victims. In October 2012 whilst watching a baseball game, Heriberto Lazcano was recognised by a security guard who reported his whereabouts to the authorities. The Mexican Navy surrounded his car as he desperately tried to escape them. The recreation of Heriberto Lazcano's death can now be seen in The True CRIME Museum including the Drug Lord's bullet riddled Jeep and also his GOLDEN CHAINSAW!
