An important piece of the mosaic of the Unity movement's history is being revealed. A class assignment for first-year ministerial students studying the history of the Unity movement has become a poignant production to be presented in the Saturday morning session of the 1993 Loving the Child Conference. Sir John Templeton, originally scheduled as the keynote speaker on Saturday is regrettably unable to attend this year's conference. In his time slot, the first-year students will present an enhanced version of their original program, "The History of Afro-Americans in the Unity Movement: A Healing Process." The program acknowledges the earliest African-American Unity ministers who completed their studies and became ordained in spite of llaws mandating racial segregation. Notice is also taken of early African-American study groups which sprang up around the country beginning in 1919. #blackhistory #newthought #unityschoolofchristianity #silentunity
