This Cultural Center is dedicated to all forms of art. Recuerdos de la Alhambra, in the original manuscript, is entitled: “Improvisation ¡A Granada! Arabic Song” and the dedication that reads: “To my eminent disciple Mrs. Conchita G. de Jacob from her Master and friend Francisco Tárrega. Malaga December 8, 1899. (...) Since I cannot offer you a more valuable offering on the day of your Saint, accept this my poor poetic note, impression that my soul felt before the great wonder of the Alhambra in Granada that together we admire.” However, when the piece was published, it was re-titled: “Recuerdos de la Alhambra” and it is dedicated to Alfred Cottin (“hommage à l'eminent artiste Alfred Cottin”). Based on the resource of the tremolo, it soon became the most representative and famous work of Francisco Tárrega, one of the fundamental pieces of the entire guitar repertoire. Recuerdos de la Alhambra, en el manuscrito original, se titula: “Improvisación ¡A Granada! Cantiga Árabe” y la dedicatoria que reza: “A mi eximia discípula Sra. Dª Conchita G. de Jacoby su Maestro y amigo Francisco Tárrega. Málaga 8 diciembre 1899. (...) Ya que no puedo ofrecer a usted ofrenda de más valía en el día de su Santo, acepte esta mi pobre nota poética, impresión que sintió mi alma ante la grandiosa maravilla de la Alhambra de Granada que juntos admiramos.” No obstante, al publicarse la obra, se la re-tituló: “Recuerdos de la Alhambra” y está dedicada a Alfred Cottin (“hommage à l'eminent artiste Alfred Cottin”). Basada en el recurso del trémolo, pronto se convirtió en la obra más representativa y famosa de Francisco Tárrega, una de las piezas fundamentales de todo el repertorio guitarrístico.
