The weirdest stadiums you’ve ever seen. A horse stadium or maybe a crocodile stadium? But it’s not only about animals – all over the world you can find one-of-a-kind venues that make you wonder: what was the architect thinking? In this video we’ll present 25 stadiums from every corner of the globe – from Asia and Europe to Africa and the Americas. Some of them are massive arenas with over 100,000 seats, others are small community venues with just a few thousand, but all have something that makes them truly unusual. You’ll discover stadiums that resemble animals, like horses or crocodiles, and others that look like circus tents, fortresses or even futuristic spaceships. Some are built in places where you would never expect a football pitch: in the middle of quarries, on top of shopping malls, or with railway tracks running right next to the stands. There are also stadiums that confuse with their asymmetrical layouts, unfinished roofs or stands that simply don’t match. From North Korea to Argentina, from Turkey to Canada, from Germany to South Africa, each stop on this journey brings another surprise. Some stadiums were created as national icons, others as bold experiments, and some simply because there was no other choice given the location.
