In this video I show you how to make your own Pond Skimmer. Skimmers are designed to eliminate water quality problems and reduced maintenance by removing debris before it sinks to the bottom of the pond allowing a pond to be installed anywhere.. even beneath trees. A pond skimmer helps keep your pond healthy and beautiful while improving the water quality for your fish. The pump I used is: • Aqua Eco 3000 10W - Max head 2M – Max Flow Rate 3000L/H • Inlet / Outlet 25/32/38MM • Cable Length 10M Measurements for the box I used: • L -37CM • W -28CM • D -20CM Tank Connector: • ¾” Straight tank connector Filter Media I used: • DIY Mesh Netting • Filter Wool The Pond Skimmer is doing two jobs 1: Keeping the surface of the pond water clean 2: Connected to a spitter adding oxygen to the pond by water that breaks the surface constantly oxygen will be added this is a very inexpensive method with the added bonus that your pond will benefit from an attractive water feature.
