🖥️ Presenter for the FusionEPtalks #78 is Dr. Galina Avdeeva, she obtained her M.Sc degree in 2015 at Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University. Her research project was devoted to the implementation of a charge-exchange recombination spectroscopy diagnostic on the Globus-M spherical tokamak. Then she joined the Plasma physics and Fusion Energy group at Denmark Technical university where she worked as a PhD student on the investigation of the high speed molecular beam injection into KSTAR plasmas.Currently she is a postDoc researcher based at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and under guidance of scientists from General Atomics working on the integrated plasma modeling of NSTX plasmas. 🎧 Hosted by Dhaval, FusionEPtalks team 🎤 💬 Contact us directly at talk@fusion-ep.eu or use the comments to ask questions! 🔗 Visit the website https://fusionep-talks.egyplasma.com for getting updates about upcoming events. Date: April 6th, 2023 Conspectus: A numerical plasma modeling provides the most accurate representation of the experimental reality when various models are integrated in a way that enables the determination of the most consistent solution. The OMFIT framework provides a convenient user-friendly interface to combine various codes into an integrated workflow with opportunities for the device specification, many options of data visualization and modeling/experiment comparison. In this work, such a workflow: from an equilibrium reconstruction to the plasma profiles prediction will be demonstrated in applications to a heat plasma transport study on the low aspect ratio NSTX tokamak. Spherical tokamaks are one of the leading concepts for the design of future fusion power pilot plants and the analysis of NSTX plasma helps to determine the optimal aspect ratio for a next-step fusion facility. 🌍 FusionEPtalks is a student-led seminar of the European Master In Fusion Science and Engineering program - 📚 join our international degree @ http://www.em-master-fusion.org 📱 FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA 📱 ___________________________________ ➤ Facebook : / fusioneptalks ➤ LinkedIn : / fusion-ep-talks ➤ Twitter : / fusioneptalks ➤ Reddit : / fusioneptalks ➤ WhatsApp : https://chat.whatsapp.com/LuHH5lG7EFD... #OMFIT #NSTX #numerical #transport #webinar #FusionEPtalks #fusion
