Asteroids for the unexpanded Commodore Vic-20 is a game that most people are familiar with. The aim is to shoot down the asteroids, breaking them into smaller fragments whilst avoiding collision with them. This version was produced by Bug Byte Software in 1982. It had simple graphics and sound but the gameplay was poor, and controlling your ship during movement was near on impossible. The game supposedly inspired the legendary Jeff Minter to start writing his own games because he felt he could do better.
