Bwlch Tryfan (Below Bristly Ridge): https://what3words.com/legal.consonan... My name is Daniel, and I'm known as the Bald Scrambler; this footage was recorded on the 5th of January with winds of up to 40mph and gusts up to 50mph in places. Wintry showers with snow, hail and some rain at lower elevations were present. I took the classic route up Tryfan's North Ridge with just one deviation; I came off the ridge and went along the East Traverse Path to Nor' Nor' Gully, which I ascended to get back on the ridge, I needed a break from the wind, and this side of the mountain is usually sheltered, so the move made sense. Be careful if you follow this route, there's steep terrain further along the ETP if you miss Nor' Nor' Gully. The summit was quiet, and the descent down the south ridge was uneventful. I called it a day rather than continuing as there's only so much daylight this time of year, so Bristly Ridge will have to wait for another day, perhaps next month.
