The Ferrari 512 S of 1970 (chassis # 1004) was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cars seen at the 2019 edition of the Monza Historic by Peter Auto. Taken into the race in the Classic Endurance Legends category by the crew Pierre Mellinger/Tommaso Gelmini, was the official car of Jacky Icks & Peter Schetty at the 24H Daytona in 1970, ended with a crash by Icks. Back in Maranello and repaired, she took part in the 1,000km race at Monza with Schetty and John Surtees finishing third behind a Ferrari 512 S and a victorious Porsche 917K. Equipped with a lovely 550hp V12 naturally aspirated engine, with a weight of only 840Kg it could reach the crazy speed of 340 Km/h. Portata in gara nella categoria Classic Endurance Legends dall'equipaggio Pierre Mellinger/Tommaso Gelmini è stata la vettura ufficiale di Jacky Icks & Peter Schetty alla 24H di Daytona nel 1970, finita con un'icidente di Icks. Tornata a Maranello e riparata, partecipò alla 1.000Km di Monza con Schetty e John Surtees finendo terza alle spalle di una Ferrari 512 S e di una vittoriosa Porsche 917K. Dotata di uno splendido motore V12 aspirato da 550cv, con un peso di soli 840Kg poteva raggiungere la pazzesca velocità di 340 Km/h.
