Chicagoland's Hidden Thrift Gem: Community Threads!

Today, friends, we have a BIG win! If you've been watching me for awhile, you know I've been in a drought thrifting at Goodwill in Chicago and the Chicagoland area (among other thrift stores too). However, my subscribers have enlightened me on the best places to thrift in the area that I was unaware of and to my pleasant surprise, "Community Threads" in Arlington Heights, Illinois has surpassed my expectations by a LONG shot! It's my new favorite thrift store ya'll! THANK YOU to all of you who recommended trying the Route 12 thrift store shop hop (that I didn't know existed)! Though I didn't make it through the rest of the route, I will definitely be doing that again and much more often! The efficiency of hitting so many promising thrifts along one route is a way to utilize my time much more wisely and increases my chances of finding quality pieces to re-sell instead of coming home empty handed when haphazardly hopping from thrift to thrift that aren't exactly close to each other OR delivering the goods as I shop them. I don't believe in gatekeeping, so if you haven't been to Community Threads, RUN - don't walk - and see what's in store for you! Plenty of home goods, furniture, lighting, art, clothing, vintage, fabric, oddities AND it's clean plus organized beautifully! Best of all, proceeds from Community Threads goes to the Home of the Sparrow organization, which provides support services for homeless women and their children helping them move toward self-sufficiency.
