Abstract: This talk focuses on teaching matrix operations—addition and matrix multiplication—within an interdisciplinary mathematics framework. These operations play a crucial role in transforming objects, with applications including translation, horizontal and vertical shearing, and rotation. By drawing parallels between matrix operations and the transformation of functions, students gain deeper insights into mathematical computations applying on computer graphics and geometric transformations. The goal is to provide students with better conceptual understanding transformation of objects in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces and fostering their ability to apply these techniques in different fields.
