Algorithm Stuff: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Bloons Tower Defense is the greatest game franchise of all time. And the greatest tower in bloons tower defense is obviously the glue gunner, so I’m going to be trying to beat Borderlands 2 at OP10 as the engineer monkey. And by that I mean I’ll be playing as Axton using only turrets and the Ahab rocket launcher. The engineer monkey has a nail gun, and those… kinda look like nails, right? They’re harpoons. Ahab is the guy from Moby , so the original title for this run was Can I Beat Borderlands 2 As Captain Ahab Who Got Hurled Into The Future And Found An Advanced Automated Turret That He Plans To Use To Hunt Space Whales, But He Has To Fight The Creatures Of Pandora First! But that didn’t fit as a youtube title, so we’re going with the engineer monkey thing. Axton is widely considered to be the weakest vault hunter, and at OP10 his turrets are pitifully underpowered, and if you’ve seen my rocket launcher tier list you know how I feel about the Ahab. So this should be great. I started my adventure by picking Axton, if you can believe it. I’ve got 3 ahabs, a logan’s gun and aequitas for rocket ammo. A sham would be better, but I’m not a coward. I’m also using a stockpile relic and a legendary engineer class mod. Despite the fact that this is OP10, the turrets were doing a surprising amount of damage. Also, they slag enemies, tripling the damage of the Ahab. I’m now confident that this is going to be the most difficult challenge I’ve ever done because Axton is a bad character and the ahab sucks. The bullymongs got deleted so fast that claptrap forgot he was supposed to have a panic attack, but then remembered as soon as he saw the bandits, who would likely be more of a threat than a couple of dumb monkeys. So the dumb monkeys were more of a threat than the gun wielding apes, not that it was much of a competition since all the competitors are dead. I was getting antsy waiting for Hammerlock to turn on the power as my bloodlust grew, but luckily claptrap can’t walk 5 feet without stumbling into a group of people that want him dead… so a group of people, so I got to do some more killing. And by that I mean my turrets did most of the work while I got a hard earned participation trophy. The next group of bandits didn't fare much better because I actually figured out that you’re supposed to aim the ahab AT the enemies. In my defense this thing isn’t built for fighting people, it’s for whales… or balloons. Which reference are we going with? Either way, it was time to fight boom boom. Unfortunate fun fact that Spuddycube and Lilgasmask found out. Big Bertha can’t be slagged. Boom turns purple, but you don’t deal any extra damage. It makes perfect sense to me. Normal enemies turn purple and take more damage, the bunker and the warrior don’t turn purple but take more damage, and boom turns purple but doesn’t take more damage until he walks around purple and takes more damage. If this doesn’t add up it’s because your brain is small and not equipped with the intellect required to decipher a game that was designed to run best on an easy bake oven. Also, can bloodwing be ? I have no idea and I’d really like to know. I’d test it, but I don’t want to. Because the ahab is the worst gun in the game, Axton , and the turrets are bad, I was pretty confident flynt was going to be an absolute nightmare. The rest of the bandits were simply too weak to handle the power of my turrets, which is one of the 2 sentences I never thought I’d say outside of normal mode. The other one is, this is normal mode. Somehow I managed to make it through this section of enemies without dying despite this being the most difficult challenge I’ve ever done. OP10 is unbalanced and too hard, so it’s all downhill from here for sure. I did a couple little jumps on a chain and because I’m so good at this game I nailed it first try, and I was at flynt, the most difficult boss in the game. Despite my monotone recounting of the plot of Moby , I was genuinely shocked at how easily I was able to flynt. He is shaped like both a whale and a balloon, so I guess it’s because he fits both themes, but I was beginning to wonder if this challenge might actually be easy. I made my way to 3 horns, some monkeys because this town’s only big enough for one, and tried to legally purchase a car, but couldn’t, so I illegally downloaded one instead. I made my way to sanctuary because… uhh… ok
