China Retired Living Vlog - Songshan, Dengfeng, Henan Province

Taking a break from van life in Australia, I've been staying in China for the last month or so, immersing myself in the culture of small towns. I'm Jason, a retired Mechanical Engineer. Back in Australia I've been living in my self built Ford Transit campervan for the last 18 months. I retire early, sold my house and hit the road with no plans to ever settle down. I spend my days mountain biking, bush walking and generally exploring new places. In this video I have ventured away from Shangjie where I've been staying for the last months, out to a location that's more popular with Chinese tourists. Songshan (Song Mountain) is a peak of about 1492m and in typical Chinese fashion, there's a temple built there. This is a fascinating place with some really amazing mountain scenery.
