Pallidum, which is directly transmitted through syphilitic blisters on the skin and mucous membranes. It is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can become severe if left untreated. It can also be transmitted through sexual contact with a person infected with syphilitic blisters (also called painless blisters). Touching surfaces such as doorknobs or tables by an infected person will not spread the infection. It can cause blisters in the vagina, anus, rectum, lips and mouth. The disease is most likely to spread during oral, anal or vaginal sexual activity. In very rare cases, it can also be transmitted through kissing. Painless blisters on the genitals, rectum, mouth or skin surface are the first signs of this infection. Some people don't even notice the blisters because they are painless. Sometimes the blisters heal on their own, but if left untreated, the bacteria remain in the body. Non-itchy rashes that start on the upper body and spread to the entire body, including the palms and soles. The rashes can be rough, red or reddish brown. The bacteria enter the body through minor cuts or scratches on your skin or mucous membranes. Syphilis is contagious during its primary and secondary stages or sometimes during the early latent period. It can also be passed from mother to fetus during pregnancy or to the baby during delivery. This type of syphilis is called 'congenital syphilis'. Syphilis does not recur on its own once it is cured. However, if you come in contact with someone who has syphilis, you can get infected again. Prevention of Syphilis: The best way to prevent syphilis is to have safe sex. It is a good idea to use condoms during any type of sexual contact. The best way to avoid syphilis and other STDs is to avoid anal or oral sex. Since most people have sex at some point in their lives, they know how important it is to have safe sex.
