Today, we marked the start of the salmon season with anglers, proprietors, and stakeholders we work with on the banks of Loch Lubnaig. A massive thanks to Drumardoch Estate who permit the Leny, Loch Lubnaig and River Balvaig for hosting such a fantastic day and providing a steady supply of bacon butties, coffee and cake and thank you to everyone who turned up to mark this special occasion. Thank you to Pipe Major Robert Bryden for playing for us in such a stunning location. The 2023 season is now officially open in the Forth with a number of fisheries opening their doors to anglers for a cast. A few fisheries are still shut until the 15th March, so make sure to check to see if your fishery is open.
