It's my commentary on the This Guy Edits video. Actually, to a short clip from Brad Olsen's documentary "Off the Tracks". I want to show that even though Premiere Pro doesn't have a magnetic timeline, you can still move around clips efficiently. But many people have bad workflow habits which result in messy timelines. The goal of the video is to clarify how you should change the order of the clips in Premiere Pro. I'm not saying that Premiere Pro is better than Final Cut or another way around because I haven't used Final Cut myself (I'm on Windows) and secondly I think that the essence of editing is not about software. Check out How Final Cut Pro Went OFF THE TRACKS: • How Final Cut Pro Went OFF THE TRACKS Also, Sven told me that in the full clip from the FCP tour class, Jesús Pérez-Miranda showed a few different ways you can move around clips on the timeline in Premiere Pro. I just want to stress the fact that he's a great editor, teacher, and consultant.
