The 2021 Defender was only 1 week old. Still it’s an off road vehicle and deserves to be taken there. This particular spot claims a lot of vehicles, it is extremely soft going, we have both recovered vehicles there and have been stuck ourselves there several times. Unusually, there were no purpose made recovery points on the vehicle. After much searching, we used a strap around the bottom part of the lower control arm. The construction of the control arm was quite impressive, solid cast steel as opposed to a folded and welded part. In the even it came out easily with the winch Update: I had a look on line, it seems that some 2021 models (X) have a recovery point under a removable cover, but the vehicle appears to be of unibody construction so that probably accounts for the lack of them.
