For the third year in a row, the Portland Pickles will face off against the Corvallis Knights to determine who will represent the South Division in the West Coast League Championship. Except this time around, it's in OUR HOUSE! 2023 saw the Knights come out on top as they went on to win their 7th WCL championship in a row. In 2024, Portland came back with a vengeance and ended the run in Corvallis, as they went on to win their 1st WCL title. Now here we are in 2025 and the script has flipped. The Pickles are the defending champs, playing on their home field. If there was any doubters thinking that that 2024 was a fluke, Portland just broke the record for most wins in a WCL season, a record previously held by... you guessed it- the Corvallis Knights. So now it's the Knights with vengeance on their mind. Looking to avenge a fallen dynasty by putting a stop to the next one before it can fully take off. Corvallis is no stranger to Walker Stadium either. They have had success here in the past, even sweeping the 2024 Champion Pickles at Walker Stadium in the regular season. But they have never played here in the playoffs before. Portland's last game against Marion on Saturday showed that this place is different come playoff time. 4000+ Portlanders all dialed into the action on the field creates for the rowdiest environment the West Coast League has to offer. So if Corvallis want's to avenge the fallen dynasty, they're going to have to do the same thing that Portland did last season. Come into the champs house and knock them off on their home field. This is no doubt going to be a matchup for the ages, that you will not want to miss. What was once a David and Goliath story, is now a tale of two powerhouses going head to head. Two juggernauts enter, but only one can remain. Every pitch will hold weight and every run will be fought for.
