Wolverine Data Film2Digital MovieMaker-PRO problem

After paying $50CDN to mail my $400USD Wolverine Data MovieMaker-PRO from Canada to California for repair, I get an email from Wolverine Data saying they can't reproduce the problem and ask me to send in two reels of 8mm film, call them, or send them $50USD to return the scanner "AS IS" or they will discard it. Not having two 8mm films I could afford to lose in the mail, I call them, incurring international long-distance rates, and speak to their technical support representative and mention I have video of the scanner malfunctioning. Tech support guy is not interested in video, asks for any two 8mm films. Seeing I'm not going to get anywhere, I say that I'll pay for the return shipping. I check the email and find that the "attached credit charge form" they want me to fill-out is just some lines of text at the bottom of the email. Not wanting to send my credit card number in an unencrypted email, I reply asking for a secure means to submit my credit card info. Still waiting to hear back from Wolverine Data.
