A look back at the Huntersville NC EF-0 Tornado on Monday August 7 2023

With this month being the 2-year anniversary of the west Huntersville EF-0 tornado on 8/7/23, I wanted to revisit footage taken from the storm camera on that day, focusing in on StormCam 2 specifically. StormCam 2 captured footage of what was likely the tornado as it traveled by just as it dissipated. The weak tornado did not have a visible funnel all the way to the ground, though in this video, I'll point out the clues from the footage leading to what was likely the tornado. This was one of the most destructive thunderstorms I had ever gotten on camera in my 14 years of filming storms out in the yard.
