This presentation was given at the WE Global Learning Centre for a WE Speaks Speaker Event presented by WE Well-Being on March 19, 2019. In this Live Facebook Q & A presentation we look at the Adolescent Brain under Construction and why teens do the things they do (it isn’t always to drive us crazy!). We explore how the adolescent brain changes over time and how this is all affected by relationships and experiences that our children go through. We look at how teachers and organizations such as Me to We play a vital part in the well-being of our teenagers and helping to sculpt their brains. Adolescence is a magnificent time for new learning. Organizations such as Me to We are showing us, through things such as Service Learning, We Days, and We Schools that our teens are wired to connect and learn through these connections. By creating an environment where our teens feel safe, significant, feel valued and valuable we’re creating an environment where our kids can grow, experience positive relationship building, being creative with problem solving and their brains come to full fruition.
