Every spring my friend Matt and I spend a week camping on the Oregon side of Hells Canyon. Hells Canyon is one of my very favorite places in Oregon to live the van life, I don't believe there is a more wild and scenic area in Oregon. This year on our way down we stopped in the little town of Sumpter Oregon to see the Dredge. The Dredge is a major part of Oregon's gold mining history. The Dredge was built in 1935 and was in service until 1954.
