Changing the CPU in my Ethereum and Ravencoin mining rigs is actually not so that I can CPU mine a coin like Raptoreum, but rather so that I can save on power! That is because I'm changing the processor for a low power CPU. This will help lower the overall power consumed by the mining rig and, when done on all of your crypto mining rigs, actually does have a significant impact on the power efficiency for your mining farm. This means that you should be able to squeeze out a bit more hashrate while consuming the same amount of power.
