Back From Japan… Straight to the FAD! Mahi & New Sashimi Knife Test

After snowboarding in Japan and eating some of the freshest seafood in the world, I got home seriously missing sashimi. Unfortunately I also brought back a rough throat and temperature… but after weeks off the water I couldn’t sit still. There was heaps of bait sitting lazy on the surface, but nothing wanted to eat. Plan A wasn’t happening, so I pushed further offshore than originally planned and headed out to the FAD. That’s when it fired up. Plenty of mahi around — kept one for the table and finally christened the new sashimi knife I brought back from Japan. Fresh mahi nigiri on the tailgate doesn’t get much better than that.
