Windowsills, tables or other places next to windows are idea, but make sure to shelter them from the sun's rays. Temperature should be the one we enjoy, moderate to warm will do just fine for a Phalaenopsis orchid. Stay away from direct air conditioning drafts, or radiators delivering heat! Phalaenopsis orchids are a bit awkward to be around, especially when in bloom. The tall flower spikes can get tangled in your hair and clothes, the leaning leaves can make the orchid unstable and, since the pot and medium are light, orchids can fall and damage their leaves and flowers. Make sure you protect the orchid from these instances. Generally, Phalaenopsis orchids are safe for us and our pets, but a second opinion from more knowledgeable people is always a good idea!
