This time this comparison is between Belgian and Spanish audio flagship mixers: MX180 50th Anniversary Limited Edition from Rodec, and Ecler's SCLAT 200vs. Well, one of them is compact and the other is modular, but both are considered as some of the pinnacles of each brand. Take a look on how they behave when equalising, how they cut on each filter, how they respect each sound, frequency, band... and judge by yourself. At the end of the video a spectrum analysis from both them is shown; that is NOT the frequency response of each mixer, but the result of THAT RECORDING that you can hear in this video. Also, bear in mind that there is no normalization process at any moment; I typically adjust PCM-M10's recording volume at -3dB when in the mixer's Vu-meters a 0dB indication is shown. That is why, when watching the spectrum analysis, a little amplitude mismatch can be observed. However, I think it's better to not normalize and respect the original CD-Audio quality provided by the recorder (despite it can obviously provide higher bitrate and larger bit depth). So, as said, enjoy and please feel free to comment. Hope you appreciate the job ;)
