Recent test results have been only about 80% capable of detecting males. need concept but needs some work. Polymerase chain reaction, or PCR, is a laboratory technique used to make multiple copies of a segment of DNA. PCR is very precise and can be used to amplify, or copy, a specific DNA target from a mixture of DNA molecules. By using this technique one can target the specific male gene of a plant, and if a sufficient concentration is reached detect that gene using a simple biological marker or similar method.
