The hatch will be able to be used by not only aluminium boat builders, but also steel constructions. P&W Marine Engineers have a selection of Aluminium Cast Deck hatches with Stainless Steel Gas Struts for sale. The Deck Hatch is 600mm by 600mm with a 790mm welding outside perimeter and an open clearing. You can select one of two design options: Flush or Handle. Flush is when the hatch is flush with the deck. This prevents trip hazards and it has a handle on both sides enabling the hatch to be opened from either side. Handle means that the hatch is still flush with the deck but it only has a handle on the inside. The outside can be locked or unlocked with a key which is provided with purchase. This design has the added feature of a Guard which can be used when the hatch it open. The vents allow fumes to escape while work is been performed below while ensuring that no one can accidentally fall through the hatch while walking past.
