A credible and competitive trade and investment partner, the EU aims at leveraging the complementary strengths of its financial institutions and the private sector, while enhancing the attractiveness and competitiveness of European companies globally. The offer is anchored in the principle of mutual benefits for EU Member States and global partners – the spirit of the Global Gateway initiative: a true win-win partnership. The EIB is preparing a pan-European Trade and Investment Initiative that calls for close coordination with Export Credit Agencies, EU companies and international partners across critical sectors.
