The 2025 Downieville Classic was a success! This year, we rolled in with a crew of 6 and raced head-to-head in one of the gnarliest MTB events out there. For the first time ever — no crashes, no mechanicals, no carnage. Just gnarly riding, big efforts, and hard-earned PRs. While I wish I had a bit more speed in the tank, I’m proud to have broken previous records and finished in the top third of the pack — a big improvement over last year. For those who don’t know, Downieville is one of the only MTB races that demands performance in both cross-country and downhill over two back-to-back days. The climbs are brutal, the descents are unforgiving, and the vibe is always unmatched. If you’ve ever thought about racing it — this is your sign.
