Phase 4 of the bulkhead build is all about muscle and method. In this part of the project, we break massive concrete chunks down into manageable pieces and begin backfilling the bulkhead with dredged mud pulled straight from the bayou floor. It’s real coastal construction — messy, heavy, and done the right way so it lasts. We’re working with the fastest spud barge in Louisiana and a pair of Takeuchi excavators that have earned their keep on jobs just like this for years.
