We start at the Temple of Heaven (天壇), an imperial religious site where Emperors once prayed for good harvests. This UNESCO World Heritage site is renowned for its stunning architecture, including the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests (祈年殿), a triple-gabled wooden structure rebuilt after a fire in 1889. Next, we visit the Lama Temple (雍和宮), also known as the Yonghe Temple or Palace of Peace and Harmony. This Tibetan Buddhist temple is a unique blend of Han Chinese and Tibetan architectural styles and was one of the most significant spiritual sites during the Qing dynasty. While I couldn’t film inside, I’ll showcase the intricate and detailed external designs of this spiritual site. Finally, I wrap up my trip with a taste of China’s Northeast Farm Cuisine, featuring hearty dishes and nostalgic decor. A perfect mix of history, spirituality, and food!
