Add yeast and 2 tablespoons of sugar to lukewarm milk and leave it to activate. Mix the lard with a wooden spoon until it becomes fluffy. Add 2 egg yolks and the activated yeast with sugar and milk, and mix well. Gradually add flour, first mixing with a wooden spoon, then kneading by hand until the dough no longer sticks to your fingers. Do not add too much flour; the dough must remain soft. Let the dough rest for about half an hour. Meanwhile, whisk 2 egg whites with a wire whisk until slightly foamy. Add 11 tablespoons of sugar and 11 tablespoons of ground walnuts. Mix well. Once the dough has risen, shape small balls no larger than a walnut, flatten them into circles, place half a teaspoon of filling in the center, and fold the edges of the dough together to form a "rose." Bake at 200°C for about 10-15 minutes, until golden brown. After baking, let them cool completely. Roll the cooled roses in powdered sugar. Enjoy!
