After morning prayers, Muslims often visit the graves of deceased loved ones during the three day festival that marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan. At a cemetery in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, Samahir Za’neen said her son was killed in a strike nearby on Jan 11. “My son, I am his mother, he is twenty years old. His Eid in Paradise, God willing,” she said couching over his tombstone Only meters away Hatem Motwali tells a similar story. Her 30 year old son was killed on the 7th day of the war, also in an Israeli airstrike in the central Gazan city. “He was not happy or married, and I was not happy with him,” the mother said “I was hoping he would get married, but God did not want to.” AP Video shot by Abd Kareem Hana Production by Wafaa Shurafa =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
