Before the Kansas City Chiefs take the field for the first regular season game, our animals are getting in the spirit with some punting, passing and tackling of their own! Head out to the Zoo on Saturday, September 12 for Chiefs Day at the Zoo. Chiefs Cheerleaders, KC Wolf and even Warpaint and Susie are all making an appearance. Former Chiefs player Danan Hughes will also be on hand to punt with our very talented wide receiver and resident sea lion, Delilah, during the Sea Lion Splash show at 10:30 a.m. Animals in Discovery Barn, Tropics, and our feathered friends in Helzberg Penguin Plaza will enjoy a sea of red enrichment items donated to them by the Chiefs. Nikita will tackle a Chiefs Kingdom barrel and our Orangutans are suiting up in their very own personalized Chiefs jerseys.
