Conheça a cientista: Graduada em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (1985) com mestrado em Ciências (Fisiologia Geral) pela Universidade de São Paulo (1990). Realizou o doutorado no Departamento de Fisiologia Geral do IBUSP e no Departamento de Zoologia da Universidade de Leicester, Inglaterra e defendeu tese em 1995. É professora titular do Departamento de Ciências Fisiológicas da Universidade Estadual de Londrina onde coordena o Laboratório de Ecofisiologia Animal. Orienta estudantes de mestrado e doutorado, nas áreas de Ecofisiologia de Animais Aquáticos e Ecotoxicologia Aquática, pelos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Biológicas e em Genética e Biologia Molecular, ambos da UEL, e pelo Programa Multicêntrico de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Fisiológicas (PMPGCF), do qual foi coordenadora no período de 2009 a 2015.
