Hypersensibilité About The Self-Portrait Experience (SPEX) and Cristina Nunez: "Emotional (R)Evolution is a collective 'artivist' project on the expression of emotions through art, which in 2021 will become a permanent online exhibition. The aim of these videos of mine is twofold: on the one hand, it is an expression of my emotions and experienced in the world as self-therapy, and on the other hand, the divulgation of the idea that emotions should be expressed and shared, that they act as a mirror for the spectators. Painful emotions tell us that there are unmet needs that we need to address. If more and more people become aware of their emotions and authentic needs, humans would be more respectful of others' emotions and needs, and those of the planet, instead of concentrating on material possessions, power over others and economic growth." "The Self-Portrait Experience (SPEX) is a method created by myself in 2004, based on my personal experience with the photo and video self-portrait as a tool for individual and social transformation. I hold SPEX workshops around the globe in universities, prisons, museums, mental health facilities, high schools, youth centers, rehab centers, so that people trigger the creative and cathartic process to transform difficult emotions into art, and therefore pass onto something else.
