Double Swage Block Stand for my Forge

I got a deal on a swage block this past fall and while I didn’t NEED a third one, I could use it, so it came home with me. My large block has its own stand so I needed to build one for this block and my micro spoon block to get them a little above anvil working height, which for me is 31”. Additionally, the man I got the block from is a family friend and I wanted the piece to go to a good home where it would get used and not abused or forgotten in a yard, used as a pot stand by some hipster. I sketched up some initial plans, tweaked them a few days later, and cut up some tubing I had left from another job on a Sunday afternoon. I am trying diligently not to buy any more steel and work through the wall of material I already have! I welded the stand together one night after work , cleaned up the welds the next day, and then spent the next week painting it. It turned out great. I love how the little spoon block slips right in and I used the both blocks to bend up some custom sign parts the first weekend that it sat in the shop. My Instagram:   / mattofmanytrades
