Out of nowhere, I ended up in Hong Kong again. That completely wiped out all my spring plans — I was supposed to prep and grow a big garden and kick off major construction work on the house. For the first three months of this year, I was working on getting the land ready to grow all my own food for the rest of the year. Right now, I’m posting this video from a hotel room in Long Beach, California. It was delayed for a few weeks — I’ve been swamped with work and just haven’t had the creative headspace for proper video production. Still, I managed to collect around 20 minutes of random, wandering footage from Asia — mostly Hong Kong. The rest is pretty average iPhone material, nothing too special. But the Hong Kong part has some solid shots that will be featured in a full-length video I’m dropping in a few weeks. Episode 05 is currently in the works — mostly focused on LA. We came here for a conference, and my colleague Alix and I went out for a casual tourist stroll… but ended up filming the chaos we stumbled upon in the streets. E05 is gonna be pretty iconic.
