Dawless Electro jam with 2 perfect MOOG clones : MODEL-15 + EDGE. °°° Lexicon MPX-G2 : short reverb /// Gamechanger Audio Plasma Rack : plasma distortion °°° The Behringer Model-15 is a clone of the Moog Grand Mother, which is itself a clone of the legendary Moog Model-15 modular system... the circle is complete, and frankly, the clone is perfect in terms of sound, it's amazing ! I just received it; it was a trade I made for one of my synths. I got it earlier today, got home, took it out of its box, plugged it in, and started warming up its two oscillators. It's analog! The Moog sound is immediately there; it's great. I added the Edge to go with it, and off we go! My very first unboxing jam ! :) Behringer added a digital spring reverb (yuck...) frankly, it's awful, nothing like the analog spring reverb of the Grand-Mother, you can hear the spring moving inside the thing, yeah !! No, all you hear here is crap, haha. On the other hand, one cool thing is the patchbay, reverb output and reverb input, one cable and boom, you can make it self-oscillate, in the effects loop, and yeah, okay, that's super cool ! A patch cable to send the LFO of the Model 15 to the Noise of the Edge and you have your snare, set to the LFO of the Model. The Model 15's patchbay is really cool and well-equipped. What also really appeals to me is its three audio outputs. It's mono, but it has three audio output channels: the line master, the headphone output with its own volume control, and an output on the patchbay itself. So you can do "Tri Mono," sending the signal to three different sources. The possibilities are epic! And then it also has 3 sequencers, or at least 3 programmable and playable sequences, cool for making variations... Anyway, I've wanted the Moog Grand Mother for a long time to accompany my quatuor : Mother 32, D-Fam, Subharmonicon, and the Subsequent 37. And then, along comes its clone.... Well, despite my reservations about Behringer, I couldn't resist (but I'd already tested it before; I knew it was decent for a Behringer, and that the sound was the same). Thank you all FR : Le Behringer Model-15 est un clone du Moog Grand Mother, qui lui-même est un clone du système modulaire Moog Model-15… la boucle est bouclée, et franchement, le clonage est parfait niveau son : incroyable ! Je viens de le recevoir ; je l'ai obtenu en échange d'un de mes synthés. Je l'ai reçu plus tôt aujourd'hui, je suis rentré, je l'ai sorti de sa boîte, branché et j'ai commencé à chauffer ses deux oscillateurs (c'est analogique) ! Le son Moog est immédiatement présent, génial. J'ai branché le Edge en MIDI pour accompagner, et c'est parti ! Behringer a mis une réverbe à ressort numérique (beurk…). Franchement, elle est horrible, rien à voir avec la réverbe à ressort analogique du Grand-Mother, on peut entendre le ressort bouger à l'intérieur, pas pareil !! Ici on n'entend que de la merde, haha. Mais d'un autre côté, il y a le patchbay : entrée et sortie réverbe, COOL ! un seul câble et hop ! On peut faire de l'auto-oscillation dans la boucle d'effets. Franchement, c'est top ! Un câble patch pour envoyer le LFO du Model 15 dans le noise du Edge et voilà, votre caisse claire est calée sur le LFO du Model, nickel. Le patchbay du Model 15 est bien équipé. Ce qui me plaît aussi beaucoup, ce sont ses 3 sorties audio. C'est mono, mais il y a 3 canaux de sortie : la sortie ligne principale, la sortie casque avec son propre réglage de volume et une sortie sur le patchbay lui-même. Du coup, on peut faire du « Tri Mono », en envoyant le signal vers trois sources différentes (1 master et 2 pédales par exemple). Les possibilités sont infinies ! Et puis, il possède aussi 3 séquenceurs, ou du moins 3 séquences programmables et jouables, super pour créer des variations… Bref, je voulais depuis longtemps un Moog Grand Mother pour compléter ma Moog Story : Mother 32, D-Fam, Subharmonicon, Subsequent 37 et The Source. Et voilà ti pas qu'on me propose gentiment son clone…...ahah c'est moins encombrant haha Malgré mes sérieuses réserves envers Behringer, je n'ai pas pu résister, mais pour être franc je l'avais déjà testé ; je savais qu'il était correct niveau fabrication pour un Behringer et que le son était parfaitement identique au Moog. Donc...
